Location

AICAF will be held on Ayers Island in the Basin Mills area of Orono, Maine, the island consists of 60 acres in the Penobscot River that is reachable by a one lane bridge. Historically part of one of the largest lumbering areas in the world, the island has also been home to pulp and paper companies, a textile mill, and at the present time, Ayers Island, LLC. A 360,00 square foot mill on the island serves as the headquarters of a redevelopment effort that seeks to unite economic development, cultural renaissance, historical revitalization, educational opportunities, and public access.
